Before, I have experienced laser TV products from many brands from various countries. As a digital enthusiast, my favorability towards this type of product has always been higher than that of traditional TVs. Don’t ask why? Asking means "big". But I have always regretted that I have not experienced the products of Samsung, the leading TV brand. However, this time I got an opportunity to experience the Samsung LSP7T laser TV. It sells for more than 30,000 yuan. I took a look at it in the past two days and found it at this price. So is it worth buying? Now, let’s get started with the Samsung LSP7T laser TV review!
Appearance design
Appearance has always been one of the important factors for me to choose products. Samsung LSP7T is not small, but its appearance is very good. It adopts a pure white color scheme, and has a combination of gray-white fabric and glossy white paint. With its sleek and compact design, its appearance looks quite simple and durable, and it can be matched with various decoration styles.
Image quality performance
SamsungLSP7T uses a monochromatic blue laser light source. Although the color performance of full-color laser may be more perfect, the price is often much higher. Currently, major brand laser TVs on the market that cost about 30,000 yuan basically use Monochromatic laser, there must be cost considerations.
Among the several indicators for judging the picture quality of laser TV, brightness must be one of the most important. Comparing it is the prerequisite to ensure whether the picture can be seen clearly. Our laser TVs are generally used in relatively bright environments such as living rooms, so the brightness must be absolutely high.
The official brightness data of Samsung LSP7T is 2200ANSI lumens, which does not seem to be very high. However, I personally feel that its actual brightness is similar to some models that claim 3000 ANSI lumens. When using a black grid anti-light curtain, you don't need to close the curtains in broad daylight and still have a very good display effect, as shown in the picture above.
In fact, due to the special characteristics of laser TV, I personally do not recommend using it directly to project against a white wall. Not only does it have high requirements for the flatness of the wall, but the image quality will also be greatly reduced. Therefore, generally we need to use anti-light curtains with laser TVs. In terms of curtain selection, there are mainly black grid and Fresnel. Fresnel has a greater brightness gain than black grating. The advantage of black grating is that it has a larger viewing angle and does not reflect light.
I paired the Samsung LSP7T with a 100-inch electric floor-lift black grille from VIVID STORM. Judging from the actual effect, the overall brightness performance is very good. When you see it during the day, even at night with a brighter ceiling light on, you can ensure very good picture quality.
However, laser TV is also a projection product after all. Even if it uses an anti-light curtain, if the ambient brightness is too bright, it will still be affected by a little ambient light. At this time, it is recommended to close some curtains or turn off the lights. Only in dark light can the effect of full picture quality be achieved. However, the brightness of Samsung LSP7T actually does not require those extreme dark light conditions. It is basically enough for daily use.
Samsung LSP7T uses a 0.47-inch DLP display chip, which is also commonly used in current 4K models. Its display fineness is much better than that of 1080P of the same size, but definitely worse than 0.67-inch 4K, which is generally twice as expensive.
Take a look at the specific actual shooting effect! The picture above is a real shot of 4K video playback. We can see that the picture is very delicate and the color presentation is also very textured. It feels like these water droplets are about to splash out of the screen.
Let’s take a look at this screenshot of barbecue. The texture details on the meat are very rich, and the colors are also very realistic, which is eye-catching and makes people drool a little bit.
Samsung LSP7T has three built-in picture quality styles to choose from, namely dynamic, standard and movie. For daily watching videos or playing games, I personally recommend using the dynamic mode. This mode makes a very good balance between the brightness and color of the picture, making the bright parts of the picture brighter and the darkness also more Details and contrast are also guaranteed.
Samsung has also put FILMMAKER MODE (Filmmaker Mode) on the LSP7T projection device for the first time. This mode will turn off all functions of motion smoothing and changes to the original frame rate and color, preserving the movie as much as possible. The creative intention of the creator is not excessive modification or forced beautification. Watching movies in this mode will have a more cinematic flavor.
In addition, Samsung has also brought you very easy-to-use RGB color management this time. Compared with the HSL color management system commonly used in traditional projectors, the RGB color management system will be more friendly to us ordinary users. The conditions will also be more convenient.
Samsung LSP7T laser TV supports a refresh rate of 120Hz, which makes it even better in terms of picture smoothness, especially when we play some high frame rate games. I know many friends will use this large-screen device to play games. However, since I basically don’t play games on a daily basis, I won’t show it to you here.
Many people think it would be nice to spend so many years buying a 100-inch TV. To be honest, I don't think so. Compared with the limitations of LCD TV screen size, laser TV is more casual. We can cast a 120-inch screen and the picture quality will still maintain a good level. In addition, the comfortable distance between TVs and laser TVs is still different. For example, with the same viewing distance of 4 meters, watching a 98-inch TV may cause dazzling and dizziness, but at the same distance, laser TVs do not suffer from such conditions. In terms of viewing immersion, laser TV may win.
Sound quality effect
I have already mentioned the audio configuration of Samsung LSP7T Laser TV. In terms of parameters, it is actually not outstanding. However, when I turned on the laser TV and watched the movie, I was really surprised.
Its sound quality is extremely restored, displaying high, medium and low frequencies very comfortably, the sound of artillery fire and fierce battle scenes are full and shocking, the dialogue between the characters is real and clear, and the sense of direction of distant and near sounds is also very obvious. Personally, I feel that its sound quality is not even inferior to the Sony sound bar with subwoofer priced at 3,000 yuan at home.
Moreover, if you don’t want to turn on the optical machine, it can also be used as a Bluetooth speaker. Occasionally, I lie lazily on the sofa and connect my mobile phone to Samsung LSP7T, and I can listen to beautiful music. This way of playing is quite pleasant.
System experience
Samsung has equipped the LSP7T laser TV with its own TV system. It should be noted that it is not Android, so if you want to expand applications through USB, forget it. However, it comes with its own app store, and there are some apps available for download. Of course, the number is still a big disadvantage.
它的系統UI界面和國產激光電視普遍使用的瀑布式不同,而是僅把應用圖標放置在畫面的底部位置,即使在播放的時候,也能呼出界面,卻又不會幹擾到你正在播放的video.
There are no ads when it starts up, it starts in almost seconds, and the operation interface is also very smooth. It opens the APP very quickly. During the time I used it, there was basically no lag.
Its system integrates the four major platforms of "Youai Tengmang", covering almost all content resources. If you are a member of these platforms, you don't have to worry about running out of things to watch. And it also has several user-friendly aspects. For example, popular selections will appear above the selected platform, and you can directly click to enter related videos; for another example, the search section on the main interface can be searched across all platforms. You don’t need to open the platform first and then search for what you want to see. It’s quite user-friendly.
Personally, I think this system is relatively simple, easy to use, and easy to use.
Conclusion
Overall, the Samsung LSP7T laser TV is worthy of being produced by a wealthy brand, and it is quite outstanding in all aspects. From the product design, to the excellent picture quality, and the good sound effects it comes with, they all left a very good impression on me. Indeed, the product is expensive, and sometimes there is a reason why it is expensive. I personally think it is still worth buying.
Seeing this, some people may ask why not buy a TV? Come on, the freedom of picture size of laser TV and the portability of the product itself cannot be compared with any other TV.
