The newly launched MENUET SE
The DALI MENUET SE is built upon the foundation of the original DALI MENUET, featuring a more modern appearance and significantly enhanced components, while creating a stunning, unique look. To meet the highest quality standards, each DALI MENUET SE is meticulously hand-assembled, tested, and packaged by the same DALI employee. After the final test, each speaker is fitted with a pure copper nameplate, displaying the initials of the DALI employee who assembled it, a first for the series.
Appearance features
- The DALI MENUET SE boasts a striking color scheme we call "WILD WALNUT HIGH GLOSS VENEER," crafted from the burl grain of walnut wood. This represents the pinnacle of walnut patterns, known for its high density, brilliant grain, hard and fine texture, and excellent quality, making it the best material for crafting walnut artworks. Each pair of DALI MENUET SE speakers has a unique appearance. Each cabinet is carefully selected for similar natural colors and grains, making every pair of speakers one-of-a-kind.
Audiophile components
- If the DALI MENUET SE's appearance alone is enough to captivate, then the audiophile components inside will surely bring immense joy. All manufacturing standards for the DALI MENUET SE align with DALI's flagship EPICON series.
- The internal wiring of the DALI MENUET SE uses 74 strands of silver-plated high-purity oxygen-free copper, with litz wire technology and insulating materials with low dielectric properties, minimizing impedance and distortion for the purest sound signal transmission.
- The crossover features carefully selected high-quality Mundorf TM capacitors, and the crossover mainboard material has been upgraded to a material with ultra-high insulation and rapid heat dissipation, significantly reducing current interference between crossover components.
- It uses the same gold-plated terminals as DALI's flagship EPICON series, ensuring the DALI MENUET SE performs optimally regardless of the speaker cable used.
- The DALI MENUET SE's bass unit uses a voice coil made of fiberglass, which makes the voice coil lighter and more sensitive, helping to reduce mechanical loss of the voice coil while keeping sound distortion to a minimum.

Speaking of Danish DALI Speakers
I believe no one is unaware of the immensely popular ROYAL MENUET "Crown Prince" small bookshelf speakers. Smaller than the LS3/5a, yet possessing sound energy that transcends its physical size limitations, it is highly acclaimed by audiophiles in the market, creating astonishing global sales records for DALI audio.
Many consider the "Crown Prince" to be a symbol of DALI. After its discontinuation, there were many calls for a re-release. It has since undergone six generations of evolution and remains one of DALI's best-selling independent models, becoming another legend in the mini-speaker market after the LS3/5a.
Originally, it used a Danish Vifa 3/4-inch tweeter and a Norwegian Seas 4.5-inch mid-bass driver, with a frequency response of 70-25kHz, significantly outperforming the LS3/5a in high-frequency response. Pursuing excellence, DALI even used a hand-soldered crossover within such a small speaker, employing a bakelite substrate with excellent internal damping characteristics to avoid sound coloration from the circuit board. Given Denmark's high labor costs, such dedication demonstrates DALI's philosophy of treating the "Crown Prince" on par with high-priced Hi-End products.
The second-generation "Crown Prince" drivers remained unchanged, but the crossover components were significantly improved. The Bennic capacitors on the crossover were replaced with larger Solen capacitors. Solen's MKP series is widely recognized as a premium capacitor, thereby enhancing sound performance. The later third-generation Limited Edition replaced the ordinary binding posts with German WBT, and DALI designed the Royal Stand S70 dedicated stand for it, allowing the "Crown Prince" to perform at its best. Both the fourth-generation MENTOR MENUET and the fifth-generation MENTOR MENUET SE received five-star ratings from the authoritative British magazine "What HiFi." From 2015, DALI simply named the "Crown Prince" the DALI MENUET as a standalone model, signaling its importance as an evergreen product. The MENUET remains a compact and exquisite two-way, two-driver bass-reflex design, with the mid-bass driver still maintaining a 4.5-inch diameter and now featuring DALI's proprietary wood fiber cone. The tweeter uses a neodymium magnet 28mm soft dome diaphragm, resulting in purer, more natural sound quality and better density.
