ATC has developed two new center channel loudspeakers for multi-channel system applications. The company states that the new C3C design offers dynamic bandwidth, high precision, and excellent sound clarity, making it ideal for audiophiles, moviegoers, and music lovers.
The C3C, matched with the SCM/HTS Monitor, uses ATC's highly acclaimed SH25-76 dual-suspended tweeter, manufactured to ATC's stringent standards for extremely low distortion and extended high-frequency response. In each center channel system, the tweeter is positioned between the two mid-bass drivers, with the same design as the corresponding L/R main speakers.
The C1C utilizes the SCM7's high-linearity 125mm ATC mid/bass driver, featuring a 45mm soft dome and a massive 3.5kg high-energy magnet system. The new C3C design incorporates the SCM11's CLD 150mm mid/bass driver. Both the new C1C and C3C systems employ a new crossover network developed from the SCM7 and SCM11 designs, exhibiting an impedance profile free of low values and extreme phase angles, easily handling amplifiers from 75 to 300 watts.
