Both the SCM100 ASL (active) and SCM100 SL (passive) are designed to deliver optimal performance in recording studios or at home when paired with the highest quality audio equipment.
Like their smaller sibling, the SCM50ASL monitor speaker, the SM75-150S boasts stunning accuracy, transparency, and dynamic range in reproducing music and speech, primarily thanks to its soft dome midrange driver. However, recent revisions, including a tweeter upgrade and an enhanced bass reflex port profile, have brought further improvements across all performance parameters.
The bass performance is equally impressive, thanks to the ATC 12-inch professional-grade bass unit, which utilizes ATC's proprietary super-linear magnet technology. In the active models, the bass, midrange, and tweeter drivers each have their own dedicated and independently matched MOS-FET amplifiers.
ATC's electronic crossover features a wide bandwidth, high common-mode rejection ratio, and extremely low distortion electronically balanced input stage.
Inside the SCM100 ASL, the manufacturer employs a Tri-amp design, using three Class AB amplifiers of different wattages to drive the speaker units: 50 watts for the tweeter, 100 watts for the midrange, and 200 watts for the woofer.
In its passive form, the SCM100 SL offers broad and symmetrical dispersion, with excellent amplitude and phase characteristics across the entire audio frequency range.
The SCM100 ASL (active) are designed to perform at their best with the finest quality hi-fi equipment.
Like their smaller brother, the SCM50 ASL, the monitors' ability to reproduce music and speech with phenomenal accuracy, transparency and dynamics lies mainly in the SM75-150S soft dome midrange driver. However, recent modifications that include an upgraded tweeter and enhanced port profile have brought about further improvements in all performance parameters.
Bass performance is equally impressive, thanks to ATC's 12″ professional level bass driver that incorporates the company's unique Super Linear Magnet technology. Bass, mid and HF drive units in the active model have their own dedicated and individually matched MOSFET amplifiers.
ATC's active crossover network consists of a wide band-width, electronically balanced input stage with high common mode rejection and very low distortion.
In passive form, the SCM100 SL provides broad and symmetrical dispersion, excellent amplitude and phase characteristics throughout the audio frequency range.
Speakers are supplied with stands and fabric wrapped grills.
