ATC C1 Sub Mk2 Subwoofer
Founded in 1974 by Billy Woodman, the British company ATC made a name for itself in 1976 with its groundbreaking first-generation SM75-150s soft dome midrange driver, revolutionizing studio monitoring standards. To this day, the company continues to offer both professional monitor loudspeakers and consumer loudspeakers.
The all-new C1 Sub Mk 2 features a traditional wood veneer exterior, combined with a handcrafted 12-inch (314mm) driver internally driven by a Class AB ATC 200W MOSFET power amplifier.
Designed specifically for music and movie applications, the C1 Sub Mk 2 features a redesigned circuit incorporating ATC's proprietary circuitry. This circuitry utilizes a larger power supply for enhanced output, along with the latest ATC grounded-source 200 Watt Class A/B Discrete MOSFET power module and improved overload protection circuitry. These features allow the C1 Sub Mk 2 to achieve better control even at full output.
In terms of operation, the rear panel features a continuously variable low-pass filter control, a continuously variable full-pass filter, a polarity switch, L/R speaker level inputs, and independent RCA line (L/R) inputs. In addition to the inputs, there is also an RCA master line output, allowing users to connect multiple subwoofers in a daisy-chaining manner to form a large subwoofer array.
In addition, thanks to a comprehensive improvement in the low-pass filter circuit, the C1 Sub Mk 2 delivers excellent coverage whether paired with ATC speakers or speakers from other brands. Therefore, whether you are an ATC speaker user or not, you can use it with confidence.
