Strong support capabilities
The MAGNETAR UDP800 is a professional-grade quad-core MT8581 chip that fully supports UHD 4K Blu-ray ultra-high-definition picture quality, Dolby Vision, and HDR 10+ high dynamic range imaging standards. Combined with advanced image decoding and processing technologies, it comprehensively supports 4K UHD BD/BD/DVD/SACD/CD formats, USB and network streaming video playback, and fully supports high-resolution encoding formats such as H.265 (HEVC), H.264 (AVC), VP9 4K, and Hi10P. Its upscaling pixel enhancement function can convert and enlarge low-resolution video to up to 50/60Hz 4K (3,840 x 2,160) resolution output, enabling precise conversion from HDR to SDR, and supporting BT.2020/BT.709/BT.601 color space conversion and output.
The menu offers precise adjustments to image characteristics such as brightness, contrast, hue, saturation, and sharpness, which can be combined with professional image calibration to compensate for the shortcomings of other devices, or customized to suit one's own taste.

To cater to the needs of two-channel audiophiles, the MAGNETAR UDP800 is equipped with an independent two-channel D/A decoder for XLR balanced and RCA unbalanced outputs. The HDMI output supports source output of Dolby Atmos and DTS:X audio formats. With the dedicated HDMI audio output terminal, true audio-visual separation is achieved.
In addition to supporting SACD/DVD-Audio/CD discs, the UDP800 also supports playback of media files from external USB and networks. It can decode DSD64/128, multi-channel DSD64, and PCM formats up to 192kHz/24-bit. It also supports various high-resolution lossless audio formats such as DSD, AIFF, ALAC, FLAC, WAV, and APE.
Custom high-power power supply
The UDP800 uses a custom 60W high-power, low-noise transformer, a two-stage input filtering design, and extensive use of Japanese Rubycon electrolytic capacitors. The power supply components also have independent metal shielding.
