The all-new second-generation Melco S100 network switch, the S100/2, is here! Priced the same, it offers superior detail, spatiality, and a more comfortable listening experience than its predecessor!
The S100/2 is equipped with a total of eight RJ45 terminals, two of which are used for 100Mb transmission for audio equipment, and the other six are used for 1000Mb transmission for connecting to computers, Roon Cores, or other networking devices. In addition, if your equipment has an SFP fiber optic network interface, the S100/2 provides two SFP fiber optic network interfaces for use.
The S100/2 features 1.5MB of built-in buffer memory, providing stable and reliable data transfer. The chassis is constructed of robust steel, offering excellent mechanical strength. The biggest improvement of the S100/2 compared to its predecessor is undoubtedly the power supply circuitry. In addition to an upgraded internal power design, it utilizes multiple audio-grade capacitors to ensure lower noise. The external power supply design also paves the way for future upgrades.
