Supra Cables PLY 3.4 Cable Network Route
The Supra PLY 3.4s is a top-of-the-line audiophile speaker cable, featuring 12AWG / 3.4mm² multi-core tinned OFC wire with an external insulation mesh to isolate noise. It is the ideal cable for mid-to-high power audio systems, AV main speakers, and center speakers.
Supra designer Tommy Jenving believes that OFC purity exceeding 5N has minimal impact on sound performance. Therefore, his design philosophy avoids pursuing high-purity materials. The Ply cable uses multi-core ultra-fine conductors to reduce inductance and impedance, overcoming phase distortion caused by the skin effect. Each core in the Ply series is plated with pure tin, preventing electrons from jumping between conductors and eliminating oxidation. The tin-plated conductors used in the Ply series are a more effective way to prevent oxidation.
In terms of cable sheathing, SUPRA also uses a different manufacturing method than ordinary speaker wires. The PLY series uses special PVC as the conductor surface sheath, which can effectively avoid the problem of conductor oxidation and corrosion.
