Supra Cables PLY 3.4 Cable Speaker Cable
Supra PLY 3.4s is a high-end audiophile speaker cable featuring 12AWG / 3.4mm² multi-strand tinned OFC conductors. An additional shielding net outside the core isolates noise. It is the best choice for medium to high-power audio systems and AV main speakers and center speakers.
Supra designer Tommy Jenving believes that OFC purity beyond 5N has minimal impact on sound performance. Therefore, his design philosophy does not pursue high-purity materials. The Ply design uses multi-strand ultra-fine conductors to reduce inductance and impedance, overcoming phase distortion caused by the skin effect. Each conductor in the Ply series cables is plated with a layer of pure tin to prevent electrons from jumping between conductors and eliminate conductor oxidation. The tinned conductors used in the Ply series cables are a more effective method of preventing oxidation.
Regarding the cable jacket, SUPRA also employs a different manufacturing method than typical speaker cables. The PLY series uses special PVC for the conductor's outer jacket, effectively preventing conductor oxidation and corrosion.
